Reflexology - The Gentle Touch TM
What is Reflexology?

Basically, Reflexology is a foot or hand massage that aims to positively affect the health of the whole person by rebalancing the body through reflex points. The feet and contain reflex points which relate to each of the body's organs, structures, areas and systems. Each point reflects what is happening in the corresponding part of the body. A Gentle TouchTM Reflexology treatment gently and painlessly massages the feet during which each reflex point can be stimulated or calmed to encourage balance and a return to health.
Forms of reflexology have been practiced around the world for thousands of years.
How can Reflexology Help Me?

During times of stress or illness congestion and energy blockages can occur. Some systems may have become sluggish while others are overworking, leaving you feeling tired or unwell.
Treatments can help relax and clear the mind as well as bring short and long term relief to both major and minor symptoms.
What Happens When I Come For Treatment?

On your first visit some health notes are made about your health and well-being. The first session is usually an hour and a half to allow for this plus a full treatment. On subsequent visits a brief update on how you are progressing and feeling is all that is needed before commencing the treatment, and these visits take an hour.
At the end of the treatment your feet are wrapped in a soft towel and you have the opportunity to continue to relax.
What does the treatment feel like?
The treatment itself is very relaxing yet refreshing and feels like a flowing gentle massage of the feet (or hands), using a light lotion or oil for smoothness and comfort. Progressing from the toes to the heels every bit of the feet is included, working with all reflex points. This form of Reflexology technique is light (yet does not tickle!) and comfortable while still highly effective.
Enjoy this relaxing experience while your body is gently encouraged to heal itself.
Relaxation

If you are just looking for relaxation you may choose to omit the initial consultation and simply enjoy a treatment. For a little more pampering you'll find relaxation packages for yourself or loved ones in the Gifts and Treats section.
How Many Treatments?
The number of treatments needed varies depending on the needs of each individual rather than the condition or symptoms. Weekly treatments are the best way to obtain the greatest benefit from the healing initially, while less frequent sessions are ideal to maintain health and enjoy relaxation.
